3:48:15 hrs

So I survived (thank you, Marcial, for worrying :)), and it was not that bad, actually.

I still have to see if I’ve met my personal goal (faster than the slowest guy :)). For sure, I met my time goal – 1:11 for 12 km, not too bad, if we consider that I started running 4,5 months ago.

And this is our team:

Edgar, me, Jan & Tomas - the idioma runners :)

Of course, what I find very interesting (not to say worrying) is that after paying a rather big lump of money (ok, this was the company relay, but still), I can actually buy pictures of me arriving at the finish for a bargain of 20 f**ing Euros! (or, even bigger bargain: 6 pictures for 33! *wondering who buys these things*

I’m also worried about me – because all these things do not prevent me from thinking about the next goal – halfmarathon (maybe). I’m getting old…

Rolling rolling rolling …

I’m mentally preparing for my 12 km in tomorrow’s Prague International Marathon (team relay). Now for some reason, this involves a lot of trying-not-to-think-of-it (and also some serious plant shopping and preparation).

As a result, my cats are nibbling the results of my 3 hours of repotting, and I don’t want to run *aaargh*. If you never hear from me again, check the hospitals for collapsed runners :)

Oh, and just to state the goal somewhere (because for some reason, you have to have goal, and “winning” is not an option :)): 1:15 for 12km (making it 4:15 hrs for our relay team).

Easter Holidays (yeah, it’s spring!)

I’ve added some new kitsch pix to my flickr site.

An zwei Seiten müßten wir es anzünden, am Vyšehrad und am Hradschin …

This is what happens when you have a new phone with a camera that is not as bad as the last one :)

Japan Revisited

After about, eeer, three months, I finally managed to put some (not very good) Japan pics on flickr. And for good measure, some pics from France, too. So please improve my statistics by clicking on every single one of them and saying “oooh!”, “wow!” etc. :)

Alpen-Kitsch

Some more or less serious snowboarding done last week, this time without any major accidents, and obviously a day or two off for taking pictures.

Evil Beasts

An evil beast paid us a visit just before the turn of the New Year.

Aw, gravity, thou art a heartless bitch!

After an eventfull early summer, I’ll be gone for the rest of August on yet another vacation.

To put it in a nutshell:

- I bought myself a new camera (a Nikon D90 with a zoom lens that I forgot, but something like 18-108 mm)

- We’ll go to Italy tomorrow. By train (22 hours, yay!), to Lago Maggiore, or rather some village about 10 km from the lakeshore, in the Alps, with no bus connection and no supermarket, but hopefully a lot of beautiful countryside.

- Last weekend, we were at the Wacken Open Air, and – looking back – it was not bad at all.

- Some time before that, we went to the With Full Force festival, which had the better music (compared toWacken), but who cares about music anyway :D

More hopefully after Italy.
